This letter is a personal Thank You to you and your company, EZ Lock for such a great product. My wife… and I purchased a new 2008 Honda Odyssey Minivan with a Vision… conversion package from United Access of St. Louis on 7/31/09. The van came with standard wheelchair tie downs, however, I heard so many good things about your product that I purchased the EZ lock system. Our daughter… (21 years old) has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. We made arrangements for United Access to install the EZ-6290 lock and wheelchair base on Monday 8/24/09. On Friday 8/28/09, my mother-in-law…had our daughter in the van locked into the EZ lock system. As she was driving to pick up our other daughter… the right front wheel of the van went off the edge of a narrow street which had no shoulder. The van continued down an embankment. The van finally stopped amid some trees and brush in the front yard of a house, some 10-12' below the grade of the street. The van ended up slipping between two trees which severely damaged the front and right side of the van, eventually totaling the 49K van. Our daughter’s wheelchair had $875 worth of damage from the accident. When the paramedics and firemen arrived, they were all amazed that my mother-in-law and our daughter came away with nothing more than some scratches and bruises. Our daughter was still in her Quickie Iris chair and the EZ Lock system was holding strong. The firemen pressed the release button on the dash and she was removed. I will never have a wheelchair conversion van without an EZ lock system! Your system saved my daughter's life. We will be forever grateful. Sincerely, D and L F

"Our van was hit broadside... It knocked us off the road into a telephone pole and we skidded sideways down the road... the van went airborne... and proceeded to roll three or four times...Our 15 year old...daughter was... belted and locked into the EZ Lock system. Her door was knocked off and we rested 225 feet away from impact... I couldn't believe she was alive!... My husband pulled the release lever and the chair rolled out like it did when the system was new... As you can see, our van was demolished... I just want you to know how much I appreciate your company for keeping our child safe when it could have been a terrible tragedy to lose such a precious child."

"On March 16th 1999, my van was run off the expressway by a tractor trailer while traveling on I-285 that loops around the city of Atlanta. On impact, my van hit a bridge abutment across the front and drivers' side corner. My van speed was 70mph and the impact took off the first 24 inches of the front of my Ford van. Believe it or not, I was sitting behind the steering wheel of my van driving from my wheel chair and locked down with my EZ Lock. My wheel chair did not move through the entire ordeal of the wreck. If my wheel chair had moved forward at all, I would have been impaled by the steering wheel or the steering column in my van...".
"Today, I drive an E-350 diesel 1 ton conversion van with an EZ Lock tie down system. I have driven over 125,000 over the past 11 years using an EZ Lock. I am a sure believer and testimony that an EZ Lock is the only way to lock down a wheel chair safely and survive a head-on 70 mph impact with a bridge abutment. My hat is off to EZ Lock. God bless,"

"The other vehicle had come to a complete stop in the high speed lane of Interstate 465 in Indianapolis.
Mr. Z was in the center lane, behind a semi-trailer, and changed lanes to pass the semi. Mr. Z was traveling approximately 55 mph at the time his vehicle impacted the rear of the vehicle stopped in the fast lane.
Mr. Z was treated and released at Methodist Hospital.

"On January 8, 1995, I had an unfortunate accident where I hit a deer, lost control of my van, hit one tree and was thrown into another tree. The driver's side was caved in and all the equipment (steering wheel and hand controls) were pushed towards the passenger side. Luckily, my wheelchair was secured in the EZ Lock tiedown and only shifted sideways toward the driver’s door"
"Once again, I'd like to applaud you and those in your company for the security of the EZ Lock system. Thank you!"
